Relative position
There is always that small question inside my head, wondering not only if this is reality, but assuming it is, am I doing well?
In the end there is no real answer to that, absolute truth is one of the most naives concepts of human kind next to true love and well being. Our reality is based in the perception that we have of the environment we are living in, therefore our position in the world hast to be relative. Our reality is a function of where we live, sounds very logical, but it has major implications. The first major one is the level of engagement people have towards sustainable living, most people living in the city have no idea where their trash is being processed and don’t care since they don’t have to deal with it. Deforestation? Not our problem, people starving while we feed animals to then eat them? Don’t know them.
I guess that the Internet has been good for two things: Porn and trolling. I guess most people browsing the internet do not really are willing to expand their horizon, they do not really want to stop buying stuff they don’t really need, and those they need should be sustainable!
I guess life has been made for those who don’t care, and is really enjoyable for those without any knowledge about the damage most of us is causing to nature. Are we ever going to change? Only if our surrounding would.
