Culture in modern times

We are back to the same old game, that time that is being coming back to our lives every four years, the time when the "FIFA World cup" dominates the lives of the less intelligent, and drag all the rest of us with them. 

This year the championship is going to be extra special for all of us, the mexicans living in Germany. It doesn't really matter what outcome has the play of the 17th of June, we are all fucked. We are going to be either be hated or joked at... work, school, pub, club, jail, port, heaven and hell, basically any place you could find a Mexican living in Germany that has been corrupted by the power of FIFA's money.

What happened to those times when being an intellectual person was something good, was even almost something sexy. When did writing letters became something to be overlooked. We live in an age that is ironically dominate by natural deselection... dominated by the most, and not the most adapted, the most intelligent, we are dominated by those who can not read, can not reason, but can indeed kick a football.

I tried during the past years to find an excuse for all of these non sense going on in the world, the domination of the popular masses represented by many faces, lets say Mr. Trump, Mr. Gauland, Mr. Ribéry and Mr. "I cheat to get a free shot" Robben. The truth is that there is no excuse, we all humans have the same drive, the drive to destroy and use, the drive to destroy and get advantage of others, the same drive to destroy other beings life... when is this going to end? 

For us the poor, the poor of enlightenment, there is only one option. We are to take a step back from that world, and start focusing on what really matters: Art
