Dark grey (digital)

Gera 05.05.2018

I guess my last trip made a huge impact on me, all those new ideas, all that grey everywhere... I have the feeling that if you want to be contemporary you have to think in monochrome dark grey. Beginning with the impressive Harpa in Reykjavik, with a never ending monolithic glass cover, hiding the most complicated an beautiful interior, naturally in an almost black dark grey. The attention to details is something from another world. Those Icelandic are loco.

I am certain to be one of the few people to describe London as a romantic city, but it has to be. One of the first cities in the world to have electrical lightning (after even more romantic Romania) , all the good Museums being free of charge, the amazing national Portrait Gallery with the majestic portrait of C. Darwin that covers 99,3% of biology book covers in my native Mexico? drunken english people in the middle of the day screening nonsense... I felt like the third world version of Dickens tumbling on all that cultural rush, the sights, the dark grey walls with red cotton electrical wiring everywhere.

I got back home, I painted my living room dark grey, I feel modern, I feel safe.
